Not Just Hoops worked in conjunction with The Louis Place Board Of Directors, Joy Clarke, President and Bryant McInnis, Vice-President  in support of the Marge Matthews Community Garden's renovation.

Not Just Hoops is glad to help the Bedford-Stuyvesant, Ocean Hill/ Brownsville neighborhoods surrounding Community Gardens. We not only look to provide sweat equity by helping with renovation and maintenance of Gardens but look to write grants to obtain funds to gardening materials/supplies, for programs/projects as well as events that can take place in Gardens, beneficial to community residents.

Not Just Hoops looks to continue to help surrounding Community Gardens with one of its goals of helping to alleviate the fresh fruits and vegetables food desert through the development of Farmer's Markets in these Gardens.  The food desert plagues Central Brooklyn which the neighborhood residents of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Ocean Hill/Brownsville live.
